Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in several areas, including employment, transportation, public accommodations, communications and access to state and local government’ programs and services.
Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex (including sexual harassment, sexual violence, and gender-based harassment) in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.
Accessibility

Section 504 Nondiscrimination
Weld RE-5J is committed to the policy that all persons shall have equal access to its programs, facilities, and employment and does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, pregnancy or childbirth, disability, religion, ancestry, sex or need for special education services, or genetic information for employment and provides equal access.
Title vI
Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 authorizes the Attorney General to address certain equal protections violations based on sex, among other bases, in public schools and institutions of higher education.
Student Data Privacy
The Student Data Transparency and Security Act defines Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is data, that alone or in combination, personally identifies an individual student or the student’s parent or family. PII data is provided by the parent/guardian at the time of the student’s registration in the school district. Weld RE-5J only collects data that is mandatory for state and federal reporting.
